As far as thermal and flow-related engineering is concerned we are comfortable with single components as well as integrated systems. Application domains range from proccess industry and energy conversion to cooling, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Our competences lie in heat and mass balances, closely linked to sizing and component selection based on your needs and market solutions. Knowledge of legislation (PED, ATEX, …) norms and design codes (ASME, EN13455, EN13480, …) is present to ensure that your system is developed both realistically and safely.
Within the context of mechanical engineering rhei offers support with concept design, prototyping and production designs for industrial machinery. Our technical strong points lie with static and dynamic calulcations, along with mechanism kinematics and dynamics. Again, aforementioned activities are coupled with sizing and component selection from standard parts where possible, or development of client-specific solutions where needed. Relevant legislation (i.e. machinery directive) is taken in to account to guarantee a safe and compliant design.
System simulation is a basic reflex to gain insight in process and/or system behaviour. In our philosophy, a calculation model is never an objective in its own right. Rhei strives for the simplest, most “condensed”, variant that allows the desired objective to be achieved. Internal calculations are done in our own framework, but if desired rhei operates completely within the client’s ecosystem.
In the current industry, none of the aforementioned domains appear in isolation. Rhei houses a basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems (AREI, Low voltage directive, IEC 61439, …) and information technology. The latter comprises of fundamentals of networking and industrial communication protocols complemented with experience in linux environments, databases and version control with continuous integration due to our internal software tools.
